Unity3d for theatre

@ Residenza InItinere

A workshop focusing on using Unity3D, with the addition of an overview on the interaction between software and recognition of the presence of bodies on stage.
We introduce the capturing techniques with the aid of various tools / open source software existing and in-depth use of Unity3D and its main features (lights, objects, textures, timeline, programming, etc).
We test different input devices for the analysis of the movement of the actor on stage, including cameras, infrared and standard ones and the kinect.
The aim of the workshop is to bring actors and computer experts together, understanding how can they use and experiment with new possibilities arising from the synergy between technology and human expression, in order to create a high-level shared-experience among actor-machine-viewer.
