Suzhou Village

Recipient Collective creates experiential art works that use interactivity in a subtle and minimal way. For Value Retail Suzhou Village, Recipient designed three interconnected works:
“One thousands threads” a graphic animation that connects ideally and randomly several locations along the Silk Roads via textile iconic patterns that are composed by silk treads of Chinese origins.
The second work is an interactive installation presented in several locations around the village that let people interact with the ever-changing threads on the screen.
The third work is a cathedral-looking installation that occupies the tridimensional world bringing the digital experience into the interiors of the Village, completed with a sound scape that will give to people the possibility of being part of the story telling of the village. It emphasises the experience of the sophistication in Yi Ou Lai’s core values and brings them at a readily perceptive level.
Concept, computer animation and software by Recipient Collective.
